Polar Plunge is what happens when thousands of people run into icy cold water to raise money for Special Olympics Oregon. Polar Plunge gives students an opportunity to support a great cause and spread awareness for individuals with intellectual disabilities.

Polar Plunge is a wild and crazy opportunity for your school to support Special Olympics Oregon athletes by fundraising and plunging into icy Oregon waters in the height of winter. This is Special Olympics Oregon's most unique and daring fundraising event and we invite your school to create a team and join the tradition!

How to Get Started
- Assign a team captain
- Register online at www.PlungeOregon.com
- Recruit friends and faculty to join the team
- Come up with a crazy costume theme!
- Set a fundraising goal
- Start raising money!
*Each "plunger" must raise a minimum of $50 in donations for the right to plunge.
Each Polar Plunge will recognize the K-12 school that:
- Raises the most money
- Team with the most members
Win PRIZES! - Each individual plunger will receive the official Polar Plunge t-shirt, a cup of soup to warm you up and bragging rights over all the people who couldn’t handle the icy water!
Win a TV! - Each plunger who raises $1,000 or more will be entered into a drawing to win a 42" LCD TV, courtesy of Best Buy
Win Alaska Airlines Tickets - Each plunger who raises $2,500 or more will be entered into a drawing for 2 round trip coach tickets anywhere Alaska Airlines flies, courtesy of our friends at Alaska Airlines.
